Lori Mizer  has 23 years of teaching experience.  Her years of teaching include Pre-K, 1st and 3rd grades.  However, the majority of her tenure (15 years) has been in Kindergarten.

Originally from the Memphis area, Lori graduated from the University of Mississippi with a degree in Elementary Education.  She later completed her Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education at Arkansas State University.  Lori taught in Mississippi, Arkansas and Missouri before she and her husband, Mike, planted their roots in Maury County.

Lori strives to help her students achieve the personal and academic goals they set for themselves.  She is looking forward to giving her students hands-on, collaborative experiences to help them develop a love for school and learning.  She loves watching the growth of her Kindergarteners from their first day of school throughout their elementary years.

In addition to her leadership in the classroom, Lori helped start the cross-country program at Marvin Wright Elementary School.  She has dedicated time outside the classroom to assist in coaching students in this program for 8 years.  This is another way she helps students learn, grow, and reach personal goals.

Outside of school, Lori enjoys running, reading and spending time with her family.  She and Mike have a son, Quent, who attends Spring Hill High School.  They love baseball, the beach, and their dog, Rebel.
